Change, even when it leads to healing, can be difficult to navigate. It can initially look like a disaster; however, it may be that long-awaited breakthrough in disguise. I appreciate walking alongside people to help them spot these opportunities.
I have worked in the field for thirty years and specialize in trauma treatment via Somatic Experiencing and Therapeutic Touch Therapy. The latter specifically addresses early developmental injuries and is a specialty that accesses the nonverbal realm.
Having assisted in the teaching of the SE curriculum nationwide, I see SE students at all levels who need credit for personal sessions and for beginning consultation credits.
Being a HeartMath Certified Coach and group facilitator is another inroad I use to help regulate the body’s nervous system and quiet the mind for clarity of thought.
As an ordained Christian clergy, I served as a chaplain at a residential facility for women and girls for ten years. The woman and girls there suffered from various kinds of abuse and struggled with addictions. Many were working through the Twelve Steps and I enjoyed helping them connect with their Higher Power and shine a light on the fingerprints of God moving in their lives. However, this process is a worthy endeavor for any of us.
In addition to spiritual reconnection/connection, I work with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and complex developmental trauma.
