Walking through the doors is the first and most important step in one’s journey of therapy. I am passionate about helping children, adolescents, adults, and families through difficult times and supporting them through those times. I know that each client is their own person, so I meet each client where they are emotionally and mentally, modifying my treatment approach to best aid each client in achieving their goals. Therapeutic methods I use include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy, Mindfulness, and listening to the mind-body connection.
I have experience with individuals with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, personality disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, trichotillomania, traumatic brain injuries, eating disorders, trauma of various types, cancer patients/survivors and their family/support system, and family/spousal relationships struggles. I work with clients to remember and learn from their history while moving forward and living their best life with the tools they have collected on their therapeutic journey. I see clients and conduct groups in the Glen Ellyn office.
