I have been a part of the Life Care Wellness (LCW) team since 2021. My partnership with this amazing group of professionals began during my internship for Tulane University’s MSW program. The education and practical experience I received have given me an understanding of therapeutic approaches that can help anyone. I strive to be an ally for those in socially marginalized groups such as BIPOC, non-binary, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent individuals, and people with non-binary identities and multifaceted relationships with complex wellness goals. While I have been professionally licensed in Illinois since 2024, one of my professional goals is to keep learning and providing new therapeutic tools to help clients get the most out of our time together.
Most recently, I have focused my specialty on collaborating with individuals who struggle with co-occurring mental health and addiction challenges. I am in training with IITAP (International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals) to specialize in the treatment of sex addiction, porn addiction, love addiction, and intimacy issues as a CSAT (Certified Sex Addiction) candidate. As a CADC, I also treat process addictions and chemical dependency addictions along with mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, and self-harm. I enjoy collaborating with other LCW providers to provide special weekend workshops for groups focusing on integrative healing. Past workshops have incorporated components of art therapy, sound therapy, mindful movement, and meditation.
My own life experiences as an adult child of an alcoholic parent, chronic trauma and abuse survivor, mother, and caregiver to aging parents give me a unique depth of understanding and resonance with clients as we walk this part of their mental health journey together. I bring a heart filled with kindness and compassion to every session, and I try to help each client find new dimensions of healing, wellness, and empowerment.
